POST RUN UPDATE:
On Monday June 11, I ran a solo 50 mile run to raise money for the Larimer Humane Society. 50 For Furry Friends was a HUGE success with more than $2,600 donated to help this great organization.
I was originally going to run a 50 mile loop around Fort Collins and Loveland, but smoke from the High Park Fire forced me to change the route on race morning, and run two 25-mile loops around Loveland starting and ending at the Larimer Humane Society. Several people came out and ran and biked alongside me during the day, and my support crew kept me hydrated and well-fed during the 12 hour run. We had a fun Finish Line Celebration at the Larimer Humane Society as well as a After Party that evening at our house.
